TEN SE S DEFINITION :-- Tense is a form taken by a verb to show the time of an action or a state.

7.PRESENT CONTINUESTENSE Subject + is/am/are + ing +first form of the verb + object. Example:-I am speaking the truth.

4. PRESENT INDEFINITE TENSE   Subject + s/es + 1st form of the verb + object.

5. PAST INDEFINITE TENSE Subject + 2nd form of verb + object. In case of negative sentence use did not. Example:-Sapna went Sundarpur.

6 FUTURE INDEFINITE TENSE .

Subject + will/shall + 1st form of the verb + object. In case of negative sentence use will not/shall not. Example:-We shall not play tennis.

13.PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUES Subject + has been/have been + ing + 1st form of the verb + since/for + object. Example:-I have been suffering from fever for five days.

8.PAST CONTINUES TENSE Subject + was/were + ing + first form of the verb + object. Example:-Peacocks were dancing in the garden.

15. FUTURE PERFECT CONTINUES TENSE Subject + shall have been/will have been + 1st form of the verb + ing + since/for + object. Example:-He will have been living in Jalandhar since 1950.

9.FUTURE CONTINUES TENSE Subject + shall be/will be + first form of the verb + object. Example:-We shall be watching T.V. at night.

11. PAST PERFECT TENSE Subject + 3rd form of the verb + object. Example:-I had acted upon your advice.

14. PAST PERFECT CONTINUES Subject + had been +1st form of the verb + object. Example:-We had not been working for many months.
