The TelcoBridges’ platform offers a full set of signaling capabilities from ISDN to CAS to SS7, which can be configured together, or independently, at any time on a blade™, without shutting down the system. The SS7 stack on the TB640 System-Blade™ provides an unparalleled combination of high performance, superior scalability, plus a dynamic configuration, allowing TelcoBridges to offer a carrier grade system on a blade™. Dynamic Configuration SS7 links, CICs, OPCs, DPCs and linksets can be added (or deleted) while the service is running. Multiple SS7 variants can be used on the same blade simultaneously, and can be added and removed dynamically. Higher Capacity and Performance For example, one TB System-Blade™ with SS7 has the capacity to support 64 links and 30,000 CICs. With its onboard processing power, a single TB640 SystemBlade™ can run several of the signaling stack layers and achieve more than 1000 ISUP calls per second (CPS). The application server controlling the system is thus freed to perform other tasks. Superior Scalability and Reliability By running the SS7 stack on a blade™, you can create a system that is easily scaled to achieve the overall system performance and stability required. This is due to: • the distributed architecture and its capability for unequaled N+1 redundancy (TB640); • the provision of the same point code on multiple blades; • the overall number of circuits controlled; • the number of SS7 links the system can support, as well as the high number of calls per second (CPS) the system can achieve with this architecture.
