A fundamental part of written plans are program objectives. An objective is a way to formulate teaching for the fulfillment of goals, and to state the intent of the program and how goals are achieved. Specifically, objectives describe the physical, social, intellectual, and emotional behavior expected of the learner. Objectives are written in behavioral terms. Behavioral terms describe what the child should do to accomplish the objective
The following questions must be satisfactorily answered for each objective. 1. Are the objectives realistic? 2. Are they meaningful? 3. Do they extend the child’s learning? 4. Do they build on previous experiences? 5. Do they follow the appropriate sequence? 6. Are they appropriate to the developmental level of the children? 7. Can children accomplish the objectives and yet challenging by them?
