Some include diuretics, antidepressants, antihistamines, antispasmodics, anticonvulsants, and aluminum antacids Voluntary withholding of the stool is a common cause of constipation. Constipation has a number of structural causes, including: spinal cord lesions, Parkinson’s, colon cancer, anal fissures, and pelvic floor dysfunction.
