TANZANIA Fiona Oates - Architect “I have been working in Tanzania for the past three and half years with the Anglican church in building and development. Tanzania is the third poorest country in the world. Many building materials are just not available and what is, is out of the reach of most people who live subsistence lifestyles. I am involved at the grass roots level in the use of appropriate materials and technology where skills are low. As well as working with buildings such as schools, training centres and churches we are working with small solar and water harvesting projects.”
