Tankless Water Heater Guidelines Residential and commercial customers can take advantage of a $300 incentive when you install a natural gas tankless water heater in the Texas Gas Service service area. Incentive Summary Incentive/Unit BTU Energy Factor Thermal Efficiency Tankless Water Heater 50,000> .82> 80%> Program Guidelines 1. All participants must be customers of Texas Gas Service (TGS) and be within the Austin and Sunset Valley city limits with a base gas service rate Sunset Valley I/S, Austin I/S Res., or Austin I/S Com., Austin I/S, ABIA I/S Com , Austin I/S Lg. Vol. Com., Austin I/S, Austin I/S Sm. . This is determined on the statement of charges on your gas bill. 2. All installations must conform to all applicable codes in accordance with City of Austin and Texas Gas Service Conservation Program. 3. The selection of contractors and equipment are left to the discretion of the property owner. Texas Gas Service will not intervene in disputes between property owner and contractor beyond enforcing specifications at the time of inspection. We will refer disputes to appropriate avenues of mediation and advice where applicable. 4. Installations are subject to Texas Gas Service verification by an on-site inspection. Inspections must be completed and approved by City of Austin inspection department before the incentive will be rendered. 5. The incentive will be paid only to the purchaser. The rebate levels may be altered at the discretion of Texas Gas Service. 6. Equipment must be installed by a qualified and licensed professional to be eligible for an incentive payment. You must provide a copy of the invoice for the worked preformed on the property. 7. All required City of Austin permits must be purchased or the installation will not be eligible for an incentive. 8. This program is operated on a first-come, first-served basis. The funding and/or guidelines for this program may be altered or discontinued at any time without notice.

Contractor shall warrant all materials, parts and workmanship. Contractor shall act as the manufacturer’s agent for all equipment and materials’ warranties. Contractor shall provide customer information regarding these warranties at the time of the installation. All installations must conform to all applicable codes in accordance with City of Austin and Texas Gas Service Conservation Recommendations from Texas Gas Service represent their best estimate of potential utility savings, based on average energy habits and average weather conditions.
