Tamanhos De Espadas Japonesas

Mas quais sao as medidas corretas para cada uma delas ? Ou pelo menos qual eh o intervalo de comprimento da lamina para que eu possa identificar se uma espada eh uma Katana ou uma Tatchi ? > > Por exemplo, uma espada com lamina de 74 cm eh uma Tatchi ou um Katana ? By definition, a tanto is less than one shaku (11.99 inches or 30 cm), a wakizashi is one to two shaku, and a katana or tachi are over two shaku. By the usual measurements tachi tend to be longer than katana but the difference is really in the mountings, tachi are mounted to be worn slung from the belt, edge down from hangers. Katana are worn edge up through the belt. Tachi are generally older, thinner, lighter (could be design or more polishing over the years). Swords made as tachi (they could be re-mounted) are usually signed on the mae(face), the outside of the tang as it hangs from the belt, edge down. Katana are also signed on the mae, but this time it's the other side of the tang since they are worn edge up. Hope that helps some.
