Basic ideas Taggin’ Tallinn integrates: - Locative media with meaning building virtual communities - Dimensions of meaning with geographical dimensions into a hybrid virtual space User scenarios 1. Tag city locations with your own content: - Blog post - Video clip - Still audio - Aaudio recording - Idea or initiative - Poem - Drawing
2. Submit you tag to your community, which uses, edits, evaluates or contextualizes it, and interprets it as constituting a meaning coordinate of the location. 3. Set up own networked communities around meanings and contents of your interests 4. Navigate in the city with TT geo – browser in the hybrid city, as defined by geographical and meaning coordinates. Find locations, meanings and people. Goal Taggin' Tallinn is a collaborative framework of citizens, city administration, educational institutions and enterprises. 1) To serve as: A technological and conceptual framework for a number of citizen-driven community projects based on the basic ideas A laboratory of interaction design, knowledge environments, mobile communications and positioning 2) To promote: City of Tallinn, particularly aiming at the cultural capital year 2011 Communities of activity; Estonian ITC know-how Open source, open content and open ontologies (e.g. folksonomy-based metadata)
