Pat, In anticipation of the briefing tomorrow for the Commission at the FBI, here are some questions critical to our team to which we would appreciate the answers. Tom Eldridge will be attending tomorrow; I have an interview I must attend that conflicts with the time frame of the briefing. 1 . The basis for the information that Atta was waiting for _ at Orlando Int'l Airport on August 4, 2001. Cell phone records? Parking records? 2. The result of the investigation into the Abdul Aziz Al-Omari, a Saudi national attending school in the Denver area who reported to the police that his apartment had been- ££v/' • & burglarized on October 31, 1995, and his passport stolen. On Nov. 26, 2000, there is a report that a Mohammad Atta attempted entry at the Massena, NY port of entry. He was pulled into secondary inspection for a suspended driver's license. This individual ended up in court in the spring of 2001, and paid his ticket. Was the FBI able to verify that this individual was or was not the hijacker Atta? If this individual was the hijacker, what were the results of the investigation? What other information was learned about the entry? Thank you so very much. We look forward to the answers. Subject: request for assistance getting copies of documents RickTim Davis asked me to email you with the details of a request for documents. We originally had intended to put this request into a formal document request to the FBI, but decided to seek these documents informally based on FBI representations that they were available through the Concordance system. We have not succeeded in securing these documents from Concordance, despite repeated attempts to do so, including two sessions with the assistance of the FBI's Concordance software contractor. The documents we are seeking are:

1. Color copies of all travel documents (passports, visas, and travel stamps or cachets) of the 199-11 hijackers in the possession of the FBI. These include, but are not limited to: a. Saudi Arabia passport of Saeed AI-Ghamdi #C573895 recovered from the Flight 93 crash site; b. Photocopies of Mohammed Atta's Egyptian passport (#1617066), and Egyptian Identity document (#M387555); c. Lebanese passport of Ziad Jarrah recovered from the Flight 93 crash site; d. Saudi Arabia passport of Satam M.A. Al Suqami (#6559583) recovered from the World Trade Center; and e. Saudi Arabia passport of Abdulaziz Al-Omari (#C165015) recovered from the World Trade Center.

2. Color copies (and any translations made thereof) of all documents recovered by the FBI, believed to be in the handwriting of the 199-11 hijackers (or other 9-11 plotters), and relating to travel or identification documents, including:

a. Notes recovered from luggage and cars that describe preparation for the 9-11 attack, including the use of identification documents; and b. A notebook recovered from the Flight 93 crash site, discussing, among other things, how to interact with an immigration inspector.

3. Documents (302s or other) sufficient to establish the chain of custody for the above documents. We recognize that some of these documents - particularly those described in item #2 - may have been provided to the Commission already.
