2:45 P.M. EOT Q I've got a few areas to cover, but let me start with Afghanistan, and, of course, September llth anniversary. And we've got a big issue coming out this Sunday, looking at all aspects of that. Let me begin wi-feh the events of yesterday in Kabul, wTth the attack on Mr. Karzai. It does sort of suggest that perhaps things ajre falling apart a little bit. Is there a risk here that all of the success you've had may come undone?

You know, there was a view that was expressed to me shortly after the 9/11 attacks that there was a fear that President Bush would sort of wake up one day and start firing Cruise missiles at people, because, after all, we'd been attacked and we had the right to do it. Well, he did quite the opposite; in a very deliberate fashion, talked to people, put together a plan, _ worried a good deal -- a great deal about the fate of the Afghan people. It~was -- we worried in advance about the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan.
