INTRODUCTION Quality of work life denotes all the organizational inputs which aim at the employee’ satisfaction and enhancing organizational effectiveness. By the globalization the modern employees are experiencing distress. To meet the challenges posed by present standards, o r g a n i z a t i o n a l mu s t f o c u s t h e i r a t t e n t i o n i n b r i n g i n g a b a l a n c e b e t we e n wo r k l i f e a n d personal life. The underlying assumption is that work life balance will ultimately ensure Quality of work life. COMPANY PROFILE: POONA DAL AND OIL INDUSTRIES LTD is an India-based company. The company is engaged in the business of manufacturing and trading in edible oil and pulses. The company operates through two segments: Oil Division and Agro Division. Its Oil Division includes Oil, by product and others. Its agro Division includes pulses, processed pulses, processed pulses flour and others. The company’s products fall into two categories, namely, Oil and food grains. The company’s plant and registered office is located at kurkumbh, Pune, Maharashtra, India.

SCOPE AND IMPORTANCE OF THE STUDY: Scope of the study is to understand various aspects of employment and nonemployment conditions of work. The present study will aim at studying various factors which influence quality of work life in PDOIL. The study is dependent upon the opinion of the Managers and Staff of all the departments of the components Division that are working at POONA DAL AND OIL INDUSTRIES (PDOIL).

OBJECTIVE OF STUDY: 1. To evaluate and analyse the Quality of work life in PDOIL 2. To study the factors and determinants of QWL. 3. To examine the impact of welfare measures. 4. To evaluate the aspects and suggest measures in improving QWL

HYPOTHESIS: 1. The company may provide adequate and fair compensation to the employees which may help them in maintaining the socially desirable standard of life of the employees 2. Safe and Healthy working conditions are taken seriously for the workers but workers are not satisfied. 3. The area in which labour’s stay is not much satisfactory for living. 4. There is no proper discipline among the employees and mostly in labour’s.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY: PRIMARY DATA: The primary data will been collected through the questionnaire .The Questionnaire will be properly prepared in order to cover all the Information required for the study .The primary data will be obtained by interaction with the officials and staff in the division in the organization and

also obtained through the Questionnaire distributed to the persons in different departments in that particular division.

SECONDARY DATA: Through the annual reports of the corporation, from manuals and also from the records available in the organization. Some other data will be collected from the reports, registers and books and from the files available in the organization.

LIMITATION OF THE STUDY: While doing this project I got different problems such as: Some respondents did not reply to the asked questions properly.  It is difficult to take all the information from the management.

RESEARCH DESIGN

This research is a descriptive study done with the help of quantitative method.

RESEARCH METHODS

Primary Data and Secondary Data.

SAMPLE DESIGN

The research is Random sampling.

SAMPLE SIZE

The research is done in a particular division of the organisation. So the study is limited to only that particular division. Sample size: 30-40.

PERIOD OF STUDY

This research is done from FEB-22 to APRIL-22

TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES In this research simple percentage analysis will be done by the method of questionnaire for data analysis.
