Car to Autonomous Car Cars or automotive vehicle that we know today or what we haven know from the discovery of a first combustion engine car is a road vehicle with four wheels powered by internal combustion

engine

To drive vehicle a primary requirement is of a driver who is well versed with the working and is able to control the vehicle for its efficient working. So with this I move on to an autonomous car, Autonomous car is a vehicle that is capable of sensing the outside environment and navigating without the need of human input. These cars are also called driver less car, self driving car or robotic car. These autonomous vehicles are or may be the future of automotive that would be decided in the coming future. The journey of a vehicle or car from being just a car to a autonomous car cannot be achieved in one go, as there limitation that have to be overcome, but by the time these limitation are overcome what alternative can be thought of is the major point of discussion. Let understand the working the CAR We all are well versed with the working of cars what I want to talk about is the role of driver in the car. The driver who happens to be a human is able to see, hear, sense and react based on the external or the internal change in the environment or the vehicle. So the human in car is able to control the car with his ability to see thing, hear things , judge things and based on these ,is able to take a quick action. So we can call human as the most advanced machine. So what are we trying to do in Autonomous Cars? We say autonomous cars or vehicle are the vehicle that can sense the environment and drive without the human input, so we want the car to do all that what a human is doing on its own. We want the car to see what is on the road, what is next to it, hear the honking , choose its path and all what the human can do.

But weather it’s possible to make a car with the brain and intelligence of a human is to be seen. But yes some role of the human can to reduced, instead of removing the human role completely from the car is what is ideally we want to do, but by the time we reach there we can step by step change the role of a human to an observer.
