General Product Specifications Shutters without bottom support Sussex shutters will be covered by our warranty for this application, subject to our standard spec limitations and the guidelines listed below: Single panel configurations: ◊

In situations where shutters will not have bottom support, customers must inform Norman Shutters when initially placing the order, or warranty will be considered void.

◊

Informing Norman Shutters when placing the orders ensures that the factory will add extra hinges to support the panel. This will reduce the probability of the panels sagging.

◊

If customers fail to notify Norman Shutters that the shutter will be used without a bottom support or used as doors, this will constitute a misapplication of the shutter, and consequently, customers will be responsible for the cost of the any RGA Reorder that is submitted.

◊

If customers want a bifold, a track must be ordered to support the panels.

Specialties Specialty Shutters♦ Specialty shutters are made of Premium Basswood & Hardwood, finished to match the look of all Norman shutters. Templates are required if it is an imperfect specialty. Delivery time is 8 weeks from confirmed date for all specialty shutters. Please refer to Specialties and Template Requirement sections for details. ∗ ∗

All frames for specialty shutter will be made as solid frames (not with insert). However, if there is a regular shutter below a specialty shutter and the frames for both shutters are separated by a divider strip, then the top frame will be made as a solid frame but the bottom frames will be made as regular frames with inserts. e warrant our shutters to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the shutters. Provided that such products were properly installed; and such products were made or assembled exclusively from original materials and components. Any resale or other transfer of the product and/or materials voids this warranty.

S

ussex Premium Hardwood Custom Shutters and Normandy Custom Shutters come with a 3-year limited warranty on color fastness of paints. Sussex stained (except for “washed” colors) and Woodlore stained look shutters have a 3-year limited warranty on color fastness of stained and stained look products. Although “washed” colors are not typically warranted in the shutter industry, we will warrant the color fastness of the “washed” colors for 1 year. Washed colors are Sussex color codes 100 to 109 (100 Pearwood, 101 Banister Beige, 102 Winter White, 103 Maple Sugar, 104 Tuscan Rose, 105 Hermitage Green, 106 Provence Blue, 107 Beechwood, 108 Rustic Gray & 109 Weathered Teak). Woodlore solid color shutters have a lifetime limited warranty on color fastness.

his warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other obligations, liabilities or warranties. In no event shall Norman International be liable for incidental or consequential damages, or for the expenses associated with such damages. Repair or remake of defective products is the sole remedy under this warranty and in no event shall Norman International, be liable for costs to remove and/or reinstall the product. Repairs will be made with only like or similar parts. This warranty does not include shipping charges, costs of labor for measuring, installation, or trip charges.

his warranty does not cover any condition of or damage to the shutter or window, form unauthorized repairs, accidents, alterations, misuse, abuse, act of God, motorized devices, daily wear and tear or failure to follow the NIC instructions with respect to measurement, installation, cleaning or maintenance. Improper, inappropriate, or unauthorized replacement parts, repairs or maintenance voids this warranty. This warranty excludes all liability for removal of the shutter and reinstallation in the same or another window, or damage to the window frame, glass or any other portion of the window. Due to manufacturing, natural variations in color, grain and texture in products, Norman International is not able to guarantee exact matches on subsequent orders. Returns cannot be authorized due to these normal variations.

ll other rights are governed by the state law in which the shutters were purchased, and may vary from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties, or incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to your state.
