IN THE SUPREME COURT OF PAKISTAN PETITION UNDER THE HIGH TREASON (PUNISHMENT) ACT 1973 PATRIOTIC PAKISTANIS AS PER LIST ATTACHED AS ANNEXURE “A”

............................................PETITIONER versus SYED JAMALUDDIN SON OF S. K. ZAHIRUDDIN ...........................................RESPONDENT 1. That the Petitioner is a group of patriotic citizens of Islamic Republic of Pakistan living in Pakistan and abroad; 2. That the Petitioner files this Petition at the honourable Supreme Court of Pakistan under the High Treason (Punishment) Act 1973 against the Respondent, in the best interest of Pakistan’s sovereignty and for promoting patriotism among Pakistanis by ridiculing anti-Pakistan sentiments as well as exposing conspiracies to destabilize Pakistan; 3. That the grievances of the Petitioner against the Respondent are as follows: (a) That the Respondent being a socalled, self-styled and self-proclaimed political analyst has committed TREASON by writing two books titled “DIVIDE PAKISTAN TO ELIMINATE TERRORISM” and “FORMATION OF REPUBLIC OF JINNAHPUR” respectively; (b) That the Respondent has committed TREASON by tarnishing the image of Pakistan in the whole world by accusing Pakistan as a supporter of terrorism in these two books;

(c) That the Respondent has committed TREASON by distorting facts and figures about Pakistan’s role in elimination of terrorism by making undue suggestions about Pakistan’s disintegration in these two books; (d) That the Respondent has committed TREASON by disseminating incorrect, baseless, unfounded, ridiculous and inaccurate information about Pakistan and its ideological background in these two books; (e) That the Respondent has committed TREASON by accusing in these two books that Pakistan’s armed forces and Pakistan’s secret agencies (which actually work for the country’s security and sovereignty) are involved in supporting terrorism and helping terrorist militant groups operating somewhere in hidden locations inside Pakistan or Afghanistan; (f) That the Respondent has committed TREASON by spreading hatred against Pakistan and its peace-loving people by writing these two books which contain objectionable contents about the existence of Pakistan as an Islamic state; (g) That the Respondent has committed TREASON as well as blesphemy by writing an objectionable chapter captioned “MODERN FASCISM VS ISLAMIC FASCISM” in the book titled “DIVIDE PAKISTAN TO ELIMINATE TERRORISM” in which the Respondent has committed blesphemy against the first three Caliphs of Islam by calling them ‘Fascists’ and ‘Dictators’; (h) That the DARUL IFTA Karachi being a respected and most prestigious religious institution in Pakistan has issued a religious decree (Fatwa) dated May 5, 2007 (copy attached) instructing people not to read the book titled “DIVIDE PAKISTAN TO ELIMINATE TERRORISM” for the reason that the said book contains objectionable remarks and contents against the honourable companions of the Holy Prophet (SAW) like Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA), Hazrat Umer Farooq (RA), Hazrat Usman (RA) and Hazrat Amir Mawiya (RA); (i) That the Respondent has committed TREASON by defaming Pakistan in the eyes of comity of nations worldwide with an evil aim to preach anti-Pakistan propaganda by writing these two books; (j) That the Respondent has committed TREASON by portraying a distorted picture of different provinces of Pakistan in a manner to give a negative impression about human rights situation in Pakistan; (k) That the Respondent has committed TREASON by proposing formation of certain independent countries in South Asia by diving Pakistan into 6 states; (l) That the Respondent has committed TREASON by giving false and baseless arguments in support of his proposition to divide Pakistan in his two books; (m) That the Respondent has committed TREASON by projecting Pakistan’s image as a terrorist country; (n) That the Respondent has committed TREASON by making an imaginary map of divided Pakistan and circulated it all over the world; (o) That the Respondent has committed TREASON by attempting to create differences among the various provinces of Pakistan by motivating them to rise up against the Federation of Islamic Republic of Pakistan; (p) That the Respondent has committed TREASON by ridiculing Two-Nation Theory which was the basis of creation of Pakistan; (q) That the Respondent has committed TREASON by writing an objectionable socalled proposed UN Resolution and pleading the members of the UN Security Council to

introduce such resolution to disintegrate Pakistan; (r) That the Respondent has committed TREASON by openly criticising Pakistan’s existence and by calling it a “burden” in an article titled “PAKISTAN’S EXISTENCE: A NEED OR A BURDEN”. This article was posted on an Indian website which spreads hatred against Pakistan. Copy of the said article is attached; (s) That the Respondent has committed TREASON by manipulating facts and figures concerning separation of East Pakistan in 1971 and attempted to use this event as an evidence for further disintegration of Pakistan; (t) That the Respondent has committed TREASON by calling President of Pakistan Mr. Pervez Musharraf a “TERRORIST-IN-UNIFORM”; 4. In view of the foregoing facts and submissions, and because of the reasons advanced hithertofore, it is respectfully prayed that since the Respondent (SYED JAMALUDDIN) has violated Constitution of Pakistan and High Treason (Punishment) Act 1973, the honourable Supreme Court of Pakistan may take suo-moto notice and the Respondent be immediately arrested and charged under the High Treason (Punishment) Act 1973; 5. Any consequential and incidental relief may also be graciously granted which is necessary in the interest of justice and integrity of Islamic Republic of Pakistan; THE END
