Summer is approaching quickly and Asbury UMC & Early Learning Center will be here to provide your little ones with a fun place to go. Summer camp is open to ages 2 – 5 years only. We will operate Monday – Thursday from 9am – 1pm. There are NO registration fees. Rates are $100/week (if paid in advance), or $30/day. (Please note that we will not have Summer Camp during Vacation Bible School –June 3-7.) Week 1 – May 28 – 30 Theme – “The Great Outdoors” – We will have some camping fun this week. We will play in tents, go on a nature walk, make smores, learn about bugs and much more!

Week 2 – June 10 – 13 Theme – “Disney Magic” – Your favorite Disney characters will be the center of all of our fun this week, including songs, costumes, games, crafts, and more. Week 3 – June 17 – 20 Theme – “Mad Science” – Get ready for some STEAM inspired, fun, wacky, and sometimes messy, science and art fun! Activities will be engaging and age appropriate. Week 4 – June 24 – June 27 Theme – “Down on the Farm” – Fun activities, food, and crafts, centering around animals, gardening, hay, tractors, and all things farm. We will “milk” a cow, learn how to plant, and more.

Week 5 – July 1 – 3 Theme – “God Bless the U.S.A!” – This will be a celebration of fun food, art and activities to celebrate our Independence Day (4th of July). We will have a picnic, march in a parade, and make our own fireworks (craft).

Continued on back Week 6 – July 8 – 11 Theme – “All About Pets” – What kind of pets do people like to have? How do you take care of them? Dogs, cats, birds, fish, turtles and exotic pets will take center stage this week. We may even get to meet some of our friends’ pets. Week 7 – July 15 – 18 Theme – “When I Grow Up” – This week we will discover different jobs that people have. We may pretend that we operate our own restaurant, grocery store, doctor’s office, construction site, school, and more.

Week 8 – July 22 – 25 Theme – “Ocean Commotion” - We will have adventures at the beach and in the ocean. We will also learn about the creatures that live there. It will be like the perfect vacation before school begins.

** Themes subject to change. All camp weeks include themed arts/crafts, music program, dramatic play, games, science, snacks, stories, playground time. Some weeks may also include a water day, cooking activities, bounce house or a trip to the Maitland Public Library. Just bring their lunch and we will supply the snacks and fun! Our staff consists of screened and experienced teachers. Our camp days are very busy and the children can’t wait to come back the next day to see what we will do.
