SUMMARY OF DIARY Well, we all started our immersion last November 16, 2018. We are very excited of what would that day can bring us. We are deployed at the Tourism field and the staffs from the tourism department gave us a warmth welcome and they made us feel accommodated. As they instructed us about the immersion of what we will do, we immersion students get to know each other and were divided into five groups. This helps us to showcase our skills and talents when we go in college. It enhances our knowledge and that’s a good thing for us students. DAY 1 NOVEMBER 16, 2018 The first immersion is that we were tasked to go and explore the beauty of Ilagan Japanese Tunnel. We were assigned there for two executive Fridays. Our first encounter there is for us to cope up with the environment so the next time we will go then we are now familiar with the place. It is also for us to perform our tour guiding well together with the tourists. We experienced a lot of things there, its like we were living in Japan because the ambiance and the displays there represents the Japanese culture. DAY 2 NOVEMBER 23, 2018 It is the day of our presentation. We presented tour guiding with the tourists in all chambers of the tunnel. And the one who will give critic to us is our supervisor who is assigned at the Japanese tunnel which is ma’am Cris Simon. All in all, it was a very enjoyable and memorable. DAY 3 NOVEMBER 25, 2018 Second immersion, we were told to attend the 18-8 Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women at the Bonifacio Park. The program discussed a lot of things but the focus of it is to pursue that our place to be free from all kinds of violence. We should adapt change and give appreciation to women, we should lift them up. It is a great event, indeed. DAY 4 NOVEMBER 30, 2018 Our partner industry supervisor required us to attend the event so, we went again at the Bonifacio Park to celebrate the Bonifacio Day, the theme of the event was Tapang, Sakripisyo, Pagbabago – Bonifacio 2018. Well, it tackled about the heroism of Andres Bonifacio during his days before. They made a tribute for his dedication for our country as a great and noble man. The park also symbolizes as a Freedom Park. DAY 5 DECEMBER 8, 2018 Third immersion, we were gathered up at the Information Center. In there, we talked about everything, the little and big things about our beloved city, the destinations you may find

here at City of Ilagan. There is a lot of information and explanations they’ve given us. They let us gain more knowledge about our place. City of Ilagan is such a beauty and very interesting. DAY 6 DECEMBER 15, 2018 The second time around that we went there, we are tasked to perform tour guiding about the whole Ilagan tourists spots destinations. This is their way for them to know if we really listened well. We performed well and the critics shared some tactics to us in tour guiding presentation. It is very interesting to stay at the information center, you’ll get to know everything about our place. DAY 7 JANUARY 11, 2019 Fourth immersion, we were appointed at the City Office particularly at the Library and Museum. In museum, you’ll see there the histories, artefacts, paintings and treasures. They also let us stay inside the museum and library for us to explore things and get to know well the past leaders of our place. While in the library, there is a lot of books, tech for ed project which they offer a free use of computer with internet for those who cannot afford to go to the computer shops. Well, it’s a very big help for those students who really studying well. Day 8 FEBRUARY 8, 2019 Today is the most awaited event for all of us immersion students. Because the final requirement for us to end our immersion in the tourism field is that we are need to present a tour guiding in front of the City Tourism Head Officials. They are the ones who will give us critic as we perform. All of us gave our best because we want to get high grade from them. After we presented, they gave us comments for us to improve more. And then, we were told to get the result of our evaluation after a week. DAY 9 -10 FEBRUARY 15-16, 2018 Our last immersion workplace was at the Ilagan Sanctuary, as we get there, its like we were refreshed after the stressful days that we’ve been through since the second semester has begun. We explored and discovered a lot of things, they accompanied and treated us very well. Even though we were very tired with the long day we had there, it is still a very beautiful experience for us. We took pictures together as a remembrance knowing that it will be our last immersion that we will be having each other, its mixed emotion, sad and happy. We need to face the reality that our immersion is now finished but what the friendship we made will last. All in all, the immersion we had is really motivating. We learned so much in there. We will never forget everything that we have been through our journey for almost four months. It really helps us to develop our minds in building our future. It is a great experience at all for us to meet new people and to improve our personalities and for all the knowledge we gained. And the exposure given to us to undergo an actual workplace setting enriched our competencies. It is very great immersion, indeed.
