How does what Paul says in Romans 2:1ff relate to what Jesus says in Matthew 7:1ff? What elements do you find in common between these two passages? What elements do you find different? Are either Paul or Jesus saying that we should never make judgments about people?

In Romans 2:5-10, how should we understand what Paul is saying concerning gaining “eternal life”? Who is it that will receive eternal life? When will these people receive eternal life? How does this fit with Paul’s teaching concerning salvation by faith?

In Romans 2:13 Paul says, “For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous.” How should we understand what he says here in relation to Romans 3:20? How may James 1:22-25 help you understand Paul’s meaning?

According to Paul (Rom 2:17-29), who is truly a Jew? What does he mean? What are the implications of this for you and for me? What are the implications of this for ethnic Jews? Explain yourself clearly.
