BALIUAG UNIVERSITY NATIONAL SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAM Civic Welfare Training Service We had our community service in Brgy. Sto. Cristo, Baliwag, Bulacan with more than 25 children. During our community service, we spent four Saturdays together with the children we taught. It was quite difficult to do these things at first but we got used to it and we enjoyed the time we spent to teach them new things. Not only the children learned during our service but I myself learned a lot. I experienced being a host and a teacher for the first time. It felt great and surreal. It was a fail because it was one of my firsts but it is also memorable. Community service made me realize that volunteering or giving help to others even for a little effort makes a big change. They had fun while we taught them and we were delighted during our work. It also awakens me that people who are unfortunate can be given help through these types of projects and if many volunteering works are done, a lot of people can benefit from it. Through this project, we saw how happy and cheerful the kids are especially during the graduation. Seeing them that they reached the goal after all the lessons they learned makes me happy. They smiles are genuine and it filled my heart with happiness. I hope a lot of people realize that community service brings a great impact to the people we are going to help.
