ABSTRACT:

The aim of Student Help Center (SHC) is to provide services and events that lead to increased interaction between the graduate students and undergraduate students, and between the residential colleges. At present organization have no such type of website which provides facilities like eLibrary, online database maintenance of student & faculty, online assessment submission, online attendance Information, online feedback form, online notice board & Technical support. In order to achieve easy handling of this large data, some website is to be developed. Student Help Center will provide complete solution to the problem. The Student Help Center will continue to meet the needs of the changing college environment while upholding these goals and priorities. In Student Help Center, we are using ASP.Net using C# to make user friendly website which increased interaction between the students, faculty and between the other Bansal institutions. It also reduces the complexity work of faculty and students. By using Student Help Center, organization will be able to work properly in less time and students are always in touch with institutions.

INTRODUCTION: This Student Help Center is developed for an educational organization which provides various services, events & information about their institution for the students and faculty. Student Help Center provides details of the careers information and various facilities offered to students studying at the College. It provides various utilities needed by the student for their project works. Student Help Centre provides information for students as well as faculty. Faculties have the facility to provide online notes and assignment needed by the students. Student Help Center provides online assessment & notes posting facilities in doc or pdf format for Faculty and online assessment submission for students. Student Help Center provide eLibrary facility in which student and faculty can read various books, journals and magazines available in our library. Student can download various course related books through it. Students can request a book for issue or deposit to librarian. Student Help Center maintain mid semester results and rgpv results through their sites. Student Help Center provides Technical Support for Students and faculties for find a solution about their hardware as well as software related problems. They can download software also. Student help center also provides information regarding admission criteria as well as branches available in college. Student Help Center maintains the whole database of the students and the faculties who so ever is concerned with the college. Various information regarding mid semester and rgpv final exams are updated along with the facility to lookup the results. Student Help Center provides online feedback form. Student can post online feedback to the faculty.

The various problems faced by the students are that where they can gather information about the college and how they know about the college. Students are always in doubt for selecting right or best college. If new student which are not belong to that state or country, they faced a lot of problems related to college information, city information, transportation detail, and hostel or accommodation information. Students are also in doubt if they are inside college is that where they get information about the various facilities provided by the college like account section, Labs information, Assessment submission process, Mid semester scheduling information and so many. Parents of student which cannot come college and want to get information about their candidate but due to manual work they get very few information or sometimes they don’t.

SOLUTION DOMAIN: We are developing these Web applications to solve the above problems faced by the various students. To help these students we are gathered information about the college at one place named student help center. They can find solutions of every problem at the student help center. All database tasks are performed by SQL SERVER 2000 backend. For students we provide facilities which give information regarding city, state, college, admission and placement. Student can also search online e-books, magazines and various upcoming books and journals in the library. Students can also check the status of the books issued to them and can request a book needed by them. Students can easily know about the upcoming campus activities.

Through student help center student can easily download various documents and can also see their rgpv results or mid sem results at student help center. In software and hardware gallery they can find information about various software and hardware also they can download various software. In training and placement cell they can know about placement record of the college and how much students are placed till now in various multi national companies. Various upcoming companies for campus selection for Bansal Group can be easily seen through this application.

For faculty services we provide various facilities so that they can easily upload and updat e their data for students so that it can release the pressure from the faculty. They can easily interact with the students. For fee related information student can visit account section corner.

Parents of students can get information about the college and the performance of their candidate. They have not to travel from one place to other. They can get every information at their home through internet.

SYSTEM DOMAIN: This website is a web application so the technology, hardware and software specification are as follows:  TECHNOLOGY: We are using ASP.Net using C# as platform to make Student Help Center because ASP let you use the power of Web server to process user requests and provide dynamic, individualized, content based on logic, file and database data. ASP let you treat users as unique entities, even through all of them are running the same program on the same machine – your server. ASP.net using C# aims to combine the high productivity of Visual Basic. ASP.Net using C# is provided as a part of Microsoft Visual studio 2005.  OPERATING SYSTEM: Microsoft Windows XP Professional service pack 2 and above. Windows XP has improved upon security, including the new security center, which allows you to check the status of important security elements on your computer – Windows Firewall, Automatic Updates and virus protection software. Performance is at an all time high in Windows XP SP2 that is why it is best suited for the Student Help Center  MICROSOFT SQL SERVER: Microsoft SQL Server 2000, data is stored in Database. The data in a database is organized into the logical components visible to users. A database is also physically implemented as two or more files on disk.  HARDWARE DETAILS: 7| P a g e

This web application can be used various places such as educational institute and organization running various colleges and schools.



Faculty and student can easily interact with each other through this application. It can minimize the gap between student and faculty.



This application is designed for student and their parents. They can easily monitor the performance of their candidate semester by semester.



This application can minimize the load of faculty in case of assessments and project works and also in academic activities.

EXPECTED OUTCOME: This web application will make the work easier for faculties as well as student and their parents. 

It can minimize their workload.



It will store the information of all college and their students.



There is no need of additional software to use it and it can work in all operating systems.s
