The lifeblood of this business are new collectors . Dealers have a vested interest in accommodating neophytes. By the same token, new collectors should be advised that there are protocols that they should adhere to at shows. First of all, stamps are fragile and precious. Good manners dictate that customers examining merchandise should use the utmost of care when handling stamps, including using tweezers and a deft touch. Also, when sitting at a dealer’s table, new customers should be conscious of the dealers time, and that sitting at a particular dealer’s table without attempting to purchase anything is r ude . Dealers, on the other hand, should be gracious in informing new collectors regarding making wise choices about their new hobby. IN that way, both the collectors and dealers can embark upon lasting relationships that result in pleasurable experiences for BOTH parties. Show-News Toons
