La Liga – Home highlights Valladolid: Yet another good corner month for Valladolid who are still performing consistently well in this department. A rating of 9.8 in the ‘for’ column together with a future rating of 8.5 for P8 makes this ‘Europa Cup’ chaser a team to follow. 2008/9 La Liga Top Shooter Barcelona Real Madrid Getafe Mallorca Real Betis Atletico Madrid Sevilla Valencia Villarreal Depor

Combined Home & Away Shots (On & Off Target)

Valencia: 78.6% of Valencia’s home matches have settled with ‘Over 2.5’ goals and once again their ratings this month illustrate why. Lots of shots at both ends of the park and plenty of saves too – an ‘Over’ team to look out for Barcelona: Barca are at it again – improving with another set of flawless figures - another season best ‘overall’ performance. Visitors get nothing more than scraps in every department.

La Liga – Away highlights Barca: As we stated last month this is the department where Barca have struggled in the past, however as you can see by these numbers, they clearly have the potency to beat any team in Europe. There is no doubt, defensively Barca are sometimes vulnerable but their quality attacking often repairs the defensive damage. 2008/9 La Liga Top Trappers Racing Getafe Atletico Recreativo Valladolid Villarreal Betis

98 97 94 92 90 89 84

Getafe: The Azulones have been a sporadic corner winner this season, but as we can see clearly during P7 they continue to perform at a high level and hence we should keep this relegation battler on our radar. Getafe stay on our list Numancia: There’s not a single positive on show here and a continuation of such figures will send them back down to the Second Division – look to oppose.

2008/9 La Liga ‘Fair Play League’ Barcelona Recreativo Numancia Deportivo Valladolid Villarreal Sevilla Malaga Osasuna Atletico Madrid

Combined Offsides ‘against’ (trapped opponent offside) at both Home & Away

Sevilla: We’ve been keeping a close eye on Sevilla this season and just recently they’ve really started to impress. As you can see by their Shots ratings this month, the Sevillistas are finishing the season strongly and with some massive matches in the pipe, their timing has been exquisite. Watch out Real Madrid…

Inter Milan: Once again Internazionale finished the Period with a decent amount of shots in the ‘For’ column. The total in the ‘Against’ column is very ‘un-Inter’ though. Juve: P7 was an excellent one for Juve and they look a team to be with until their title chances are extinguished. Look to support

Palermo: Over 70% of Palermo’s Home matches have seen 3 or more goals scored and as you can see by their ratings this month, it’s easy to see why. A good level of Shots, and Saves at both ends of the park – and an interesting set of Offside ratings to boot. Keep an eye out for their matches until they have no winning incentive

Juve: P7 was a great one for Juve who are looking lively at this late stage of the season, but as you can see, they might have the goals column straight but the rest of their ratings are looking a little dodgy to say the least. Bologna: Bologna continues to ship a ton of shots to the opposition – to be rated over 20 shots in the ‘against’ column is very grim – and this month they have a bottom line to suit. We’ll continue to keep an eye out for chances to oppose 2008/9 Serie A this poor road outfit. Top Trappers

Reggina: For the 7th period in a row Reggina continues to be a poor road corner winner – matching the trends of both the 2006/7 season and the 2007/8 season. This is solid form and worth keeping an eye on

Lecce: The situation is getting worse for Lecce. Numerically speaking they might be in touch with the safety zone, but on paper they are clearly one of the worst sides in this league.

Wolfsburg: For the sixth period running, Wolfsburg have registered a top drawer set of home ratings and once again they continue to both force and concede corners. Still a team to follow as they bid for a place in the 2009/10 Champions League

Schalke: Over 60,000 Schalke fans are attending every home game right now and they haven’t been happy with the football on display. 04 are struggling in quite a few departments at the moment and with a place in the 2009/10 Champions League almost an impossibility, it’ll be interesting to see how the fair from now until the end of the season. Continue to look for healthy corner hauls when the visitors have the class to frustrate

Bundesliga – Away highlights Bayern Munich: It was a better road period for Munchen during P7 with a ship righting display in defence restricting the opposition to what was in the main, just tat in front of goal. Excellent figures in the Possession, Saves, Corners and Shots departments with a sufficient bottom line Stuttgart: Period 6 was a Period full of goals as far as Stuttgart were concerned and P7 was no different. Once again have a set of ratings to suit with 75% of Stuttgart’s away business settling ‘Over 2.5 goals’. This ‘Title Candidate’ is staying on the list for sure – look out for suitable opportunities 2008/9 Bundesliga Top Corner Winner Arminia Bielefeld: For the sixth month running Bielefeld have displayed a poor level Werder Bremen 170 of away corner winning and a generous level Bochum 163 of conceding. Werder: After a semi depression, Werder Combined Home & Away Shots are back to their best in a few departments – one of which is the ‘Corners Won’ department where they are currently rated sky high at both home and away. A team to follow on this front especially given their struggles to score goals right now

French Ligue 1 – Home highlights Run in to the end of the 2008/9 season: It’s a tight situation at the top of the Ligue 1 table with just 4 points separating the Top 6. Odds of 4/7 about Lyon are laughable to be honest - especially given their ratings this month Unbeaten ‘Home’ Sides

Bordeaux Rennes Top Overall Goal Difference Marseille Bordeaux Lyon Toulouse Stade Rennes Lille PSG

+19 +18 +17 +16 +13 +12 +9

AJ Auxerre: As we stated last month there are loads of low corner games in this league – and once again Auxerre are just the side to add to them. Look to bet ‘Under’ the corners at home. Grenoble: Poor shooting stats still blight Grenoble and the fallout is still being felt in the goal scoring dept. Look to bet low goals, especially when they entertain a similarly shotshy outfit.

Top Assists Bastos Gourcuff Hellebuyck Wendel Pagis Gameiro Payet Erding Savidan Kahlenburg Vahirua

Marseille: 4/1 about Marseille winning the 2008/9 Ligue 1 title looks a value price to me. The worry for punters would have to be their recent struggles in the scoring department, but their shot generation is excellent, and more than good enough to make this a bet.

French Ligue 1 – Away highlights PSG: Paris continue to be just ‘average’ corner winners on the road but crucially they are still good defenders of their own four flags. Our advice is the same – look out for low corner games when they are ‘away.’ Bad Boys Uncovered Siaka Tiene Gregory Cerdan Cyril Rool Etienne Capoue Jerko Leko

155 105 105 100 100 Efstathios Tavlaridis 95 Yohan Benalouane 90

Marseille: Currently second in the Ligue 1 table, Marseille continue to be a team to note on the road. In their first 14 road games Marseille have been beaten only once – and they have the league’s best ‘away’ goal difference too, currently at +11. Look to support on their travels.

Ligue 1 Golden Boot Gignac Hoarau Cavenaghi Benzema Bastos Savidan Helstad Chamakh Alassane

18 15 13 12 12 10 9 9 9

Stade Rennes: Only 9 goals conceded all season away from home is a good number and one that we should look to side with over the upcoming weeks. Rennes are in with a squeak of Europa Cup football next season and their defensive prowess will be to thank for that prize. 10pts Yellow, 25pts Red

Valenciennes: After 15 away games Valenciennes have still scored just 6 goals which continues to be a league-worst performance. Our view is the same: They’re ripe for opposing when away – and interesting if bookmakers offer ‘Clean Sheet’ and ‘Win To Nil’ odds about their hosts.
