November 17, 2008 Note from the Editor By Brian Goessling
With the break quickly approaching, this will be a chance to take a breather right before revving up for the very end of the semester (as well as a time to fill yourself up on all the great Thanksgiving fixings). Now is the time where semester projects as well as preparation for finals and other exams consume most of the time for many students. In this issue you will find some events that are happening on campus, despite the fact that most things are winding down. At the below two events, you can not only get an insight in the decision making at the university but have a place to voice your opinions. In addition to this, food will be provided at time periods that fall around lunch time, which is when most people have breaks in their schedules.

[email protected] In addition to this, I just wanted to ask again for advice on making the Speed News something more worthwhile for those who pick the issues up. If you have any suggestions, if you would even like to contribute to the Speed News, or for any other reason, you can contact me at
[email protected] or by stopping by the Student Council office in JS105, where I can be found often. As many have suggested, I will be offering other games than just the Sudoku, such as crossword puzzles. In addition to this, I am planning some changes to begin next semester, so stay tuned! Thanks and a great end to your semester!

Dean’s Forum Each year, Speed School Student Council works with the administration to host a Dean's Forum. This has traditionally been an outstanding opportunity to hear from the Dean about some of the happenings at Speed and to ask questions regarding the school. This year's forum will be held on Tuesday, November 18th in JS 100 from 12:15-1:00. Dean Wilhelm and his office have graciously offered to provide pizza for those in attendance.
