SOLEDAD SUNDAY STORIES
DOUBLE TROUBLE AT “DUDE RANCH” At
“Dude
Ranch”
in
Soledad,
a
convicted
murderer
was
caught
and
killed,
after
he
took
an
innocent
woman’s
life.
Last
Saturday
night
at
around
7:30,
Lenny
Small
killed
Ms
Samantha
Cage.
He
choked
her
to
death
in
cold
blood
says
an
anonymous
eyewitness.
After
Lenny
Small
had
killed
her
he
ran
off
into
the
mountains.
Here
another
worker
found
and
shot
the
brutal
murderer.
The
person
who
caught
Lenny
wishes
to
remain
anonymous.
Samantha’s
husband,
Mr.
Curley
Cage,
is
happy
about
the
outcome.
He
thinks
that
it
turned
out
perfectly.
The
person,
who
killed
Lenny
Small,
received
a
100
dollar
bounty
from
Mr.
Curley.
Police
is
investigating
if
charges
should
be
brought
against
Mr.
Curley,
for
paying
to
have
Lenny
Small
killed.But
Curley
says
“I
only
rewarded
‘im
for
bringing
a
killer
to
justice”.
It
seems
that
Lenny
is
still
causing
trouble
for
the
ranch,
even
though
he
is
safely
down
in
his
grave.
Some
of
the
people
of
Soledad
have
started
a
group,
protesting
the
killing
of
Lenny.
They
think
that
everyone
should
be
brought
to
a
court
before
being
executed.
The
group
thinks
that
Mr.
Curley
tries
to
stand
above
the
law.
It
has
not
yet
been
proven
that
Lenny
is
the
killer,
but
FEBRUARY 1931
all
evidence
points
in
this
direction.
The
police
say
that
it
is
a
one
in
a
million
shot
that
Lenny
is
not
the
killer,
but
they
are
still
investigating
the
case.
The
same
group
also
says
that
if
Lenny
was
the
killer,
he
might
have
not
have
done
it
intentionally.
Friends
who
knew
Lenny
describe
him
as
a
peaceful
and
lovable
person.
Though,
they
mentioned
that
he
suffered
from
brain
damage,
and
had
a
child’s
mind.
He
sometimes
needed
guidance
to
act.

DEAR SOLEDAD People
are
earning
less
and
less.
There
are
nearly
no
places
to
work.
People
are
looking
for
work,
for
a
salary
that
should
be
defined
as
slavery.
There
is
to
a
big
difference
between
the
very
rich
and
the
starving
poor.
I
do
not
believe
that
this
difference
should
be
removed,
just
reduced.
If
big
businesses
will
pay
the
wages
again,
the
average
economy
will
increase,
and
we
will
have
a
society
with
less
people
feeling
like
they
need
to
break
the
drinking
law.
To
ensure
that
workers
get
more
money,
we
could
make
it
easier
for
the
average
citizen
to
borrow
money.
If
they
borrow
a
sufficient
amount
of
money
they
might
be
able
to
start
their
own
business.
Right
now
a
worker
can’t
fulfill
a
small
simple
dream,
because
they
can’t
earn
the
100
or
200
FEBRUARY 1931
dollars
it
requires.
So
if
they
can
borrow
the
200
dollars
it
requires
they
will
be
able
to
earn
the
money
back,
and
pay
back
to
the
banks
when
they
have
earned
back
the
money.
Another
thing
we
could
do
could
be
to
get
some
of
the
unemployed
people
to
do
some
governmental
work.
At
the
moment
the
road
to
San
Francisco
is
bad
and
has
a
lot
of
holes
in
it.
If
we
could
get
the
unemployed
people
to
work
on
the
road,
we
might
improve
the
economy
in
our
community.
It
will
be
a
win‐win
situation.
Right
now
if
we
don’t
do
something
fast
our
economy
might
be
affected
worse
by
the
stock
markets
crash.
