Social Responsibility In Marketing 

We are to care for our fellow human being as much as we care for ourselves. If only life was as simple as that. In marketing there are several issues we have to consider. The first rule of any business setting is never to do harm. An obvious example of this are the rules set for the toy industry and safety of children. Businesses must communicate and practice ethical values that will generate confidence in the integrity of our system from our consumers. Businesses must aspire to these values because they foster a long-term relationship with customers and stake holders .

Managerial Ethics 

It is useful for a manager to be ethical in behavior because that helps the manager solve conflicts of interests and clashes of ideas in business. It is required of a manager to be ethical in behavior when a company and its stakeholders consider practicing managerial ethics part of managerial responsibility. Then a manager comes to realize that he or she should be ethical in behavior both by its merit and virtue.

Managers Improving Ethical Behavior 

    

Hire individuals with high ethical standards Establish codes of ethics and decision Lead by example Provide ethics training Conduct social audit Provide support to individuals facing ethical dilemmas

Code Of Ethics 

 

Formal statement of an organization’s primary values and ethical rules it expects employees to follow Usually written Ethical norms and values have to be stated in any business setting and companies should always write their own standards as a part of the training package for a new employee.

Corporate Social Responsibility 

corporate behavior must not only ensure returns to shareholders, wages to employees, and products and services to customer, it must also respond to societal and environmental concerns. Companies have been encouraged to develop socially and environmentally aware practices and policies .

Environmental Responsibility 

Each day we have an impact on the environment. While we must take care to limit any negative impacts arising from our actions, it is equally important that we seek to enhance the positive work we do to ensure that the environment remains clean and safe for future generations to enjoy .

Conclusion 

Considering above points, I feel Social Responsibility plays a vital role in the development of any organization. Thus all the businesses should give importance to Social Responsibility.
