Re-launched Ambula now offering student-friendly meals Students happy with the new food choices in Ambula Quezon City, Philippines—September 19, 2009 —With Ambula’s re-launch, students can now enjoy more inexpensive and scrumptious meals any time of the day. From offering purely Pampangeño Pinoy meals, Ambula has expanded its menu and now offers Japinoy, Tsinoy, and Tsinoy Noodles meals. Instead of offering typical Chinese and Japanese meals, Ambula serves them with a distinct Filipino touch to truly make students feel at home. The prices of these meals are also perfect for students on a budget, as most of their meals are well below the P80.00 mark. Along with the re-launching of Ambula are the new restaurant hours. From 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the restaurant is now open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. This change was done to cater to students, who are still in school late at night and need to grab a satisfying plate of Ambula before going home.

QUOTES: “Customers, especially students, can expect a new eating experience in Ambula. To keep up with our competitors, we changed the way we sell our meals. We also hired a new cook, who specializes in Japanese, Pinoy and Chinese cooking,” said Maida, the restaurant owner and manager of Ambula. “Of course, the Pampangeño taste of Ambula will still be in every meal we have.” “On our first day, a lot of students studying in UP and Ateneo ate here,” recalled Maida. “As a mother, I understand how hard studying is. So I talk to them and entertain [them] whenever I have the time.” “Ambula understands that as a student, I have a tight schedule and would like my food served fast,” Noemi Guerrero, a college student at UP. “Plus, the food is actually good. So really, there’s nothing to complain about.” About Ambula Since its establishment in 2006, Ambula has served countless Pinoy meals that are both inexpensive and delicious. Derived from the Pampangeño practice of mixing the rice and viand before eating, Ambula is owned and managed by entrepreneur Maida Roy.
