[guide] how to edit quickly langpack via dnp.prf

*dnp.prf is a file placed in /a/ wich is used for langpack corrections without reflash. *how it works *activate dynamic_prompts_available bit in 0032 seem (offset 72, bit 7) with p2k seem editor, p2k advanced editor , p2k tools, or other p2k editing programs. *place dnp.prf in /a/ with any p2k management tool for example, instead of "camera" maybe you want to appear "cam" or something else. let's get started. i. essential things before your first edit 1. open flashbackup and backup cg4 in smg format. [somebody complained on yuetblog that is warez, so i won't post it] 2. open shxcodec 3. press f4 or go to utilities->langpack editor

this guide implies cg1 patching, so, if your phone has 09.02 bootloader, do not try it. the cg1 patch is for v360 acr; other firmwares may have different offsets and/or hex values. the drm needs some patching also; download both patches at the end of this post. first of all, create a full backup of your phone (all cgs), in smg format 1. patch your cg1 using flash&backup (minimum version 3.02) or manual, by hex editing 2. patch the drm by hex editing cg15 3. create a reflash file containing cg1, cg3, cg7, cg15 and cg18 and flash it to your phone now onto the lp editing: 1. open the langpack (cg4) with motolangeditor 2.2 2. replace the fonts at 01, 06, 08, 0b and 0c with the ones you want (in font tab). you will need to check the option "separate 1 & 2 font" to be able to replace the font 06 (thanks bullfrog for the info) 3. save the language files from your lp or other language packs (in strings tab select the language and press save language). it will be saved with the .mlf extension 4. hex edit each mlf language file (at offset 1), for obtaining the corespondency between the fonts and the languages as follows: font 01 - language id 01 font 06 - language id 11 font 08 - language id 0f font 0b - language id 0c font 0c - language id 2f this means the language with id 01 will use the font 01, 11 will use font 06 etc. if you want multiple fonts for 1 language, you'll create more copies of that language file (mlf) and you'll need to modify each with a hex editor to change its id all other languages will use the font 01 (this is the default font) 5. load your mlf files into the lp. don't worry if it will show you that you've loaded a different language; this is how it's supposed to be. 6. in languages you've modified, you can edit id 0525 to change the name displayed by the phone 7. save the lp, create a shx file with it and flash it to your phone notes: - you can obtain fonts by opening a custom font lp and using the menu option font - save font (will be saved as .mff file), or you can use system fonts from your pc. - be carefull when replacing font no. 08 not to exceed a height limit of 14 (that is because this is used also as the external screen font)
