.Surgery may or may not be necessary for this patient .There is not much that can be done in a case like this .Obviously it would be best to treat a patient of this nature before the tendon retracts this far ;This is one of the main reasons to do imaging early on .so a case like this can be treated before the tendon tears completely and retracts
