Software Engineer 12/1998 - 8/1999 Tivoli Systems, Austin, TX Improved productivity two-fold. Tasked with overhauling an antiquated source control system in Tivoli’s internal IT department. The original process used a UNIX proprietary source control system that was confusing to most of the engineers. Designed client/server Source Code Management System in C++ sitting on top of a SQL Server database using a user-friendly Windows based interface. Managed a two-person development team, delegating some of the implementation of the Source Code Management System. Delivered the new Source Code Management System ahead of schedule Collaborated with management and development teams to revamp the source code check-in/checkout process improving the efficiency of work and code merging
