CESARE LOMBROSO 

Lombroso made one of the first series studies in criminality



Carried out a series of brain dissections on criminals

ANTHROPOMETRY 

Anthropometry is the study of human body

measurement for use in classifying criminals

PHRENOLOGY 

Phrenology is the science which studies the

relationship between a

persons character and the shape of the skull

WILLIAM SHELDON 

People were one of three types: Endomorphs,

Mesomorphs, Ectomorphs 

Most criminals were Mesomorphs

MODERN DAY PROFILING 

Todays criminal profilers use many

methods to profile and catch killers

INSIDE THE PSYCHOPATHIC MIND OF A SERIAL KILLER 

They are only capable of sadomasochistic

relationships based on

power, not attachment

CONCLUSION 

For centuries it has been

developed and perfected, today it has helped save

the lives of many potential victims
