Tell your senior how proud you are of their accomplishments and how much you look forward to their future. Purchase a Senior Recognition Ad for the 2009-10 Eight Acres Yearbook. To reserve space, follow these guidelines: Prices/Sizes: All Color Ads This year, ads will be sold by squares. There are eight squares to a page. When you are calculating items to include in your ad, generally you can fit one photo per square. Half page and full page ads can have 1 - 2 additional photos.

Photo Submission Guidelines

The prices are as follows: 1 Square (W=4.5 inches, H=3 inches) 2 Squares (W=9 inches, H = 3 inches) wide 2 Squares (W=4.5 inches, H = 6 inches) tall 4 Squares (1/2 Page) (W=9 Inches, H=6 Inches) 6 Squares (3/4 Page) (W=9 Inches, H=9 Inches) 8 Squares (Full Page) (W=9 Inches, H=12Inches)

• Care will be taken to return photos. Please include a return address on your order form. The school and staff do not assume responsibility for lost or damaged photos.

Step-By-Step Instructions to submit materials for an ad 1) Select an ad size 2) Select photo(s) for your ad. 3) Complete order form provided. 4) See “Photo Submission Guidelines” on this sheet. 5) Type text for the ad on the order form or print & attach a separate sheet. Please type & print, or save as a Word document and submit file on the CD with photo(s). 6) Provide payment 1 of 3 ways. 1) Make checks out to Holland Hall with a memo note “2009 yearbook sr ad”. 2) Charge to student’s tuition account (you will be billed). 3) Cash accepted only in-person by yearbook advisor or in the business office. If cash is paid in the business office, please include a copy of your receipt. 7) Deliver or mail all of the materials to the yearbook staff by the deadline. Place original photographs in an envelope bearing the senior’s name. 8) Pictures & text must be turned in with ad order, or they might not be included. Failure to provide materials for the ad could result in a forfeit of your ad space. 9) We will only reserve space for those ads that include full payment. Note: Original photos will be returned, but text attachments and photo CDs will not.



• Do not cut, glue or tape photos • All photos submitted should be in color.

• Do not send in copied photos or photos printed on regular paper. • Photos will be enlarged or reduced to fit the layout. This process does not hurt your original in any way. • Photos may be submitted digitally on a CD. Digital images need to be at least 3 inches x 5 inches wide and 300 dpi (900x1500pixels minimum). Acceptable file formats: JPG and TIFF. Higher resolutions are preferred. • Writing lightly in pencil, please put your name, address and phone number on the back of each photo. • Designs will be considered, but the staff will make final decisions on layout to meet the needs of the allocated space. • Photos will be returned at the end of the Academic Year. Special Considerations • The yearbook staff reserves the right to reject photos or text or ask the customer to make changes to meet the standards of the book.
