Sustainable Methods STORMWATER MANAGEMENT • Celebrating stormwater involves careful design, specification, and implementation.

LOCAL MATERIALS • We live here. We design here. We use the materials that are produced here - from benches to pavers to almost everything we specify.

NATIVE PLANTINGS • The use of native plants in an urban setting will be a visible example of how ecology and people can coexist.

CLIMATE ADAPTED DESIGN • Sustainability can be colorful. Using high canopy deciduous trees, our design values are rooted in creating a comfortable place for people, maximizing airflow while eliminating shading on buildings come winter.

Landscape

IRRIGATION • To minimize water requirements irrigation will be done through combining a variety of water saving initiatives where possible: drip irrigation, low flow spray heads, and harvesting rainwater.

ALTERNATIVE TRANSIT • Our pedestrian-first design encourages transit by means of bicycling, and walking. Bus transit is also given a visible priority in an attempt to discourage the use of cars.
