SECTION V PRODUCT/SERVICE PLAN

5.1 PRODUCT RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT Today here in the Philippines especially here in Leyte, there are many small businesses making their own product and selling it the market. You would find it in the market and the traditional versions of muffins. Now we made our own innovative muffin we called it innovative because instead we use chocolate and vanilla flavoring, we use root crops for flavoring. We made it because it is more nutritional. On the other hand we did a product testing on how to make it successful. We also tried to draw on how it looks when it is already baked. We also research the ingredients and the procedure in order to be successful.

First trial: Failed These are the final product of our first trial it failed. As the pictures shows it looks like overcooked. The taste was okay, and the size was okay the problem of our first trial was the image and the size. The ingredients that we used are: ube (purple yam), sweet potato, banana, raisins, eggs, cinnamon ground, all purposed flour, oil, salt, baking soda, baking powder. Our problem with these was the oven. We do not have oven to really come up with the correct and desired image. It is too far to what we expected.

Final product: These are the final products for the second product testing. Which is so much the product we wanted The taste, the image, the size and texture were all perfect, it looks like muffin and of course it tasted like muffin.

For our final product, the picture shows how we do it and make it more muffin. The main ingredients banana, sweet potato, ube (purple yam), eggs, salt, oil, cinnamon ground, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, all purposed flour.
