SEATED WITH HIM

“And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us SIT TOGETHER in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” Ephesians 2:1-9 This is one of the most powerful and liberating scriptures you can ever come across in the bible. A deeper revelation will cause a revolution in your life in such a way that the world cannot but take notice that of you, and give glory to Lord of lords, and the Kings of kings! This scripture says that we are sitted in the heavenly places right where Jesus is sitted – at the right hand side of majesty. If this is true, then why are we still where we are in life? Why are we still struggling with the elements of this world? Why are we still ravaged by the same things that ravage the unbelievers of this world? Why are our lives still plagued with sicknesses and diseases, poverty and lack? Why are we still being frustrated and downcast in the things that we do? Why are we being drowned and overwhelmed by the trials and challenges of life? I believe God Himself gave us the answer to these entire questions, when He said in Hosea 4:6, that, “My people are destroyed [stripped of honour and dignity] for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge...” When we are ignorant of our place and position in Christ, it becomes impossible for us to manifest the glory of God. Jesus speaking in John 8:32, said that, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”. Being sitted with Jesus means much more than can be comprehended by the human mind, therefore it is our responsibility as believers to study and meditate upon this verse of scriptures until the Holy Spirit enlightens our spirit man with the revelation that will provoke us to refuse to accept mediocrity in our lives any longer. When you grasp and run with the truth that is revealed to you by the Holy Spirit, it elevates to a whole new horizon.

SEATED FAR ABOVE And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

FAR ABOVE ALL principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all. Ephesians 1:19-23

We are not just sitted with Jesus, we are sitted FAR ABOVE ALL, not just far above, but far above ALL, principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come. “All” means that there are no exceptions. Anything that has a name, has been placed under your feet through Christ Jesus. And that includes the devil and all the forces of darkness, sicknesses and diseases, lack and poverty, frustrations, sadness and sorrow, etc. Whatever has a name has been place under your dominion! It may sound too good to be true, but that is the Gospel truth. You are born-again to harass all the things that have been harassing you all your life, the table has now been turned against all your enemies. Your dominion on the earth begins with knowledge [Dan 11:32], and this is where so many of us believer fall short. We don’t give enough time to study and meditating in the word of God. We are too busy with our jobs and other issues in our lives, that we have little or no time to spend with the Holy Spirit whose is given to us by God to be our teacher. Therefore the light from God’s word that we need to shatter the operations of the forces of darkness around us eludes us. Without a continuous revelation of God’s word in our life it is going to become almost impossible to walk in dominion and exercise our authority over the issues and challenges of life. The faith that moves mountains comes from the word of God, and when we don’t have time for the word, we become slaves to the very things that God created us to be masters over. Revelation is a product of labouring in the word, it doesn’t just drop on people it is given to those who make themselves available to be filled. Remember the 6 water pots at the marriage at Cana where Jesus turned water into wine – John chapter 2. Those were the only pots filled, because they were the only pots available at the scene when Jesus wanted to perform the miracle. God is distributing knowledge of Himself throughout the body of Christ today, will you be available or will you be busy, think!!!
