I have been amazed at the diversity of backgrounds and the fact that we span the globe. In looking at a few of my recent subscribers I see that there is: A man from Pangkajene, Indonesia A man from Perth, Australia A woman from Nigeria A woman from London, England A man from Tamil Nadu, India A woman from California, USA A man from Memphis, Tennessee, USA A man from Khi, Pakistan A woman from Brazil I began to wonder about the world of Scribd. When I do social science research one of the first things I do is to get basic demographic information about the subjects of the study. I wondered about Scribd. When I have a question about Scribd, Kathleen Fitzgerald often has an answer. This time was no exception. We had 383,000 people from the U.S. on October 28, 2009 We had 2.1 million people globally. May and June, 2009 were big months for us. 2. Demographics: US Demographics
In the U.S. it appears that we are pretty evenly divided between males and females our primary age groups are between 35-49 (37%) and 18-34 (32%). Our educational experiences are varied: 43% of us have no college. 41% have college and 16% have graduate school experience. 3. Country: Find
