On 28/8/09, all the grade 6’s minds were open to lots of fascinating information about science in our world at Science Works. We roamed around “Math Amazin”, where science involved Math. One thing I saw was a ball floating in a tube. The force of the fan pushed it up but gravity pulled it down which kept the ball in one place and made it go around in a circle. I tested my strength by sitting down, placing my feet against the wall and pulling a rope. I had 58kg of strength! I also learnt that the length of your arms is also the length of your body. The length of my arms was 164 cm, which meant that I am 164 cm tall! We went to “Cool Stuff” and did lots of cool stuff o with liquid nitrogen. Liquid nitrogen is -196 C and freezes things almost instantly! When the man poured liquid nitrogen in a container, lots and lots of water vapor came out. Experiment 1: The man poured liquid nitrogen into a container full of water, and in about 10 seconds, the water turned into ice. Experiment 2: The man poured detergent into the water and bubbles poured out of the container. Experiment 3:
