Topic Objectives
MATTER Objectives: A t the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to;
1. Explain states of matter. 2. Classify the properties of solids, liquids and gases. 3. Experiment and observe some solids, liquids and gases. 4. Explain that gases are formed when liquids evaporate and that when a gas is cooled, it condenses to form a liquid. 5. Explain that gases move and flow more easily than liquids, and in all directions. 6. Explore how those gases differ from solids and liquids in that they do not maintain their shape and volume, but spread out to fill the space they are in.

PRESENTATIONS
Induction Set (2 minutes): - Teacher instructs pupils to sit on their seats - Teacher will inform the topics for today’s lesson.
Development (25 minutes): - Teacher will show what will be in this lesson using power point slides. -Teachers will explain Introductions of matter State of matter Properties of 3 states Particles model of 3 states Changes in matter - Teacher asks if they need extra explanation. Practical / Activities (25 minutes) - Teacher asks pupils to copy the following exercises in a piece of A4 paper and answer completely. - Give instructions on what to do by giving out the example for pupils do the quiz together. Closure (8 minutes) -Review the lesson by questioning orally to the whole class. - Teacher will give a worksheet of state of 3 matters to each pupils for them fill in blanks as their homework and tell them the homework must be done and to be handed in during the next lesson. -Lastly, as time left in 3 minutes, we will ask the pupils to read “DOA” and tidying the classroom.
