How to intercede?

The door is already locked, and my children are with me in bed. Why do we ask in the name of Jesus?
“For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” 1 Timothy 2:5
“Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.” Hebrews 7: 25
“For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.”

What are the qualities of an Intercessor?
He prays longer, is devout, and persistent in his prayers.
She prays with more intensity.
He enjoys prayer more and receives more personal satisfaction from his prayer times.
She patiently waits for the answers to her prayers, and sees more frequent and dramatic answers to her prayers.
He is full of the Holy Spirit and full of faith.
She is a woman of vision, sensitive to prayer burdens, and is acutely aware of hearing quite clearly from God.
He takes prayer burdens seriously.
An intercessor must also be a WATCHMAN.
