To teach with purpose and enthusiasm, engaging students with hands on activities allowing them to critically engage with information presented to them. Ensure the success of each student by adapting assessment and instruction for personalized instruction. Along with developing a safe and welcoming classroom environment that allows students to thrive and excel in their education.

Grade One Pre-Service Teacher November 2017 – April 2018 Ralph McCall Elementary School, Airdrie, Alberta  Established professional and meaningful relationships with students and staff members, consistently acting in a friendly and professional manner  Planned and implemented a range of lessons that explored a number of concepts in Math, Science, English and Art  Developed consistent classroom management skills that showcased my ability as the teacher to manage different behaviours within the classroom  Developed an understanding of the crucial role of assessment through formative and summative forms by creating a variety of tools to use which resulted in a well-rounded understanding of the student’s abilities Grade Three and Four Pre-Service Teacher April 2016 Ranchlands Elementary School, Calgary, Alberta  Established a positive rapport with students and staff, working directly with two partner teachers and 40+ students  Engaged in a team-teaching environment; developed and delivered a science unit in collaboration with a fellow student teacher  Developed an understanding of the importance of collaboration with fellow teachers in designing authentic and engaging lessons
