Emerging Iowa Artist 2008 Des Moines Art Festival Part-time art class instructor for children and adults (March 2009 – July 2009) The Octagon Center for the Arts http://www.octagonarts.org Ames, IA My responsibilities included formulating concepts for themed classes and developing curriculum for each class session. Classes met for 45 minutes to 2.5 hours per week for either 4 or 5 weeks. The classes I taught ranged anywhere from sensory-based art classes for toddlers to non-traditional watercolor classes for adults.
