In the name of ALLAH, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Salih (peace be upon him) in The Quran __________________________________________________________

And to Thamood people, (We sent) their brother Salih (Saleh). He said: “O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him. Indeed there has come to you a clear sign from your Lord. This shecamel of Allah is a sign unto you; so you leave her to graze in Allahs earth, and touch her not with harm, lest a painful torment should seize you. [007:073] “And remember when He made you successors after Ad (people) and gave you habitations in the land, you build for yourselves palaces in plains, and carve out homes in the mountains. So remember the graces from Allah, and do not go about making mischief on the earth.” [007:074] The leaders of those who were arrogant among his people said to those who were counted weak - to such of them as believed: “Know you that Salih (Saleh) is one sent from his Lord.” They said: “We indeed believe in that with which he has been sent.” [007:075] Those who were arrogant said: “Verily, we disbelieve in that which you believe in.” [007:076] So they killed the shecamel and insolently defied the Commandment of their Lord, and said: “O Salih (Saleh)! Bring about your threats if you are indeed one of the Messengers (of Allah).” [007:077] So the earthquake seized them, and they lay (dead), prostrate in their homes. [007:078] Then he (Salih (Saleh)) turned from them, and said: “O my people! I have indeed conveyed to you the Message of my Lord, and have given you good advice but you like not good advisers.” [007:079] ——————————————————————————————— And to Thamood people, (We sent) their brother Salih (Saleh). He said: “O my people! Worship Allah, you have no other Ilah (God) but Him. He brought you forth from the earth and settled you therein, then ask forgiveness of Him and turn to Him in repentance. Certainly, my Lord is Near, Responsive.” [011:061] They said: “O Salih (Saleh)! You have been among us as a figure of good hope till this! Do you forbid us the worship of what our fathers have worshipped? But we are really in grave doubt as to that which you invite us to.” [011:062] He said: “O my people! Tell me, if I have a clear proof from my Lord, and there has come to me a Mercy from Him, who then can help me against Allah, if I were to disobey Him? Then you increase me not but in loss. [011:063] “And O my people! This she-camel of Allah is a sign to you, leave her to feed on Allahs earth, and touch her not with evil, lest a near torment will seize you.” [011:064] I bear witness that there is no God except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is His servant and messenger

But they killed her. So he said: “Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days. This is a promise that will not be belied.” [011:065] So when Our Commandment came, We saved Salih (Saleh) and those who believed with him by a Mercy from Us, and from the disgrace of that Day. Verily, your Lord, He is the AllStrong, the All-Mighty. [011:066] And As-Saeehah (torment, awful cry etc.) overtook the wrong-doers, so they lay (dead), prostrate in their homes, [011:067] As if they had never lived there. No doubt! Verily, Thamood disbelieved in their Lord. So away with Thamood! [011:068] ——————————————————————————————— Thamood (people) belied the Messenger. [026:141] When their brother Salih (Saleh) said to them: “Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? [026:142] “I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. [026:143] “So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. [026:144] “No reward do I ask of you for it, my reward is only from the Lord of the Alameen (mankind, jinns and all that exists). [026:145] Will you be left secure in that which you have here? [026:146] “In gardens and springs. [026:147] And green crops and date-palms with soft spadix. [026:148] “And you carve houses out of mountains with great skill. [026:149] “So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. [026:150] “And follow not the command of Al-Musrifoon (transgressors), [026:151] “Who make mischief in the land, and reform not.” [026:152] They said: “You are only of those bewitched! [026:153] “You are but a human being like us. Then bring us a sign if you are of the truthful.” [026:154] He said: “Here is a she-camel; it has a right to drink, and you have a right to drink on a day, known. [026:155] “And touch her not with harm, lest the torment of a Great Day seize you.” [026:156] But they hamstrung her, then they became regretful. [026:157]

So the torment overtook them. Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. [026:158] And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. [026:159] ——————————————————————————————— And indeed We sent to Thamood their brother Salih (Saleh), saying: “Worship Allah. Then look! They became two parties quarreling with each other.” [027:045] He said: “O my people! Why do you seek to hasten the evil before the good? Why seek you not the Forgiveness of Allah, that you may receive mercy?” [027:046] They said: “We augur ill omen from you and those with you.” He said: “Your ill omen is with Allah; nay, but you are a people that are being tested.” [027:047] And there were in the city nine men, who made mischief in the land, and would not reform. [027:048] They said: “Swear one to another by Allah that we shall make a secret night attack on him and his household, and afterwards we will surely say to his near relatives: We witnessed not the destruction of his household, and verily! We are telling the truth.” [027:049] So they plotted a plot, and We planned a plan, while they perceived not. [027:050] Then see how was the end of their plot! Verily! We destroyed them and their nation, all together. [027:051] These are their houses in utter ruin, for they did wrong. Verily, in this is indeed an Ayah (a lesson, a sign) for people who know. [027:052] And We saved those who believed, and used to fear Allah, and keep their duty to Him. [027:053] ——————————————————————————————— And as for Thamood, We showed and made clear to them the Path of Truth through Our Messenger, but they preferred blindness to guidance, so the Saiqah (a thunderbolt) of disgracing torment seized them, because of what they used to earn. [041:017] And We saved those who believed and used to fear Allah, keep their duty to Him and avoid evil. [041:018] ——————————————————————————————— And in Thamood (there is also a sign), when they were told: “Enjoy yourselves for a while!” [051:043] But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt overtook them while they were looking. [051:044] Then they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. [051:045] ——————————————————————————————— Thamood (people) belied the warnings. [054:023] I bear witness that there is no God except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is His servant and messenger

For they said: “A man! Alone from among us, that we are to follow? Truly, then we should be in error and distress or madness!” [054:024] Is it that the Reminder is sent to him (Salih (Saleh) ) alone from among us? Nay, he is an insolent liar!” [054:025] Tomorrow they will come to know, who is the liar, the insolent one! [054:026] Verily, We are sending the she-camel as a test for them. So watch them, and be patient! [054:027] And inform them that the water is to be shared between them. Each ones right to drink being established (by turns). [054:028] But they called their comrade and he took and hamstrung (her). [054:029] Then, how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warnings? [054:030] Verily, We sent against them a single Saeehah (torment, awful cry, etc.), and they became like the dry stubble of a fold-builder. [054:031] And indeed, We have made the Quran easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember? [054:032] ——————————————————————————————— Thamood and Ad people denied the Qariah (the striking Hour (of Judgement))! [069:004] As for Thamood, they were destroyed by the awful cry! [069:005] Do you see any remnants of them? [069:008] ——————————————————————————————— Has the story reached you of the hosts, [085:017] Of Firaun (Pharaoh) and Thamood? [085:018] Nay! Those who disbelieve are in denial. [085:019] But Allah encompasses them from behind! [085:020] ——————————————————————————————— Thamood (people) denied through their transgression. [091:011] When the most wicked man among them sent forth. [091:012] But the Messenger of Allah (Salih (Saleh)) said to them: “It is the She-camel of Allah. And (bar her not from) having her drink!” [091:013] But they denied him and they hamstrung her. So their Lord destroyed them because of their sin, and made them levelled (in destruction). [091:014] And He fears not its consequence. [091:015]
