PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FRIDAY, JUNE 5, 2009

RIVANNA WATER & SEWER AUTHORITY CONSULTANT SELECTION COMMITTEE FOR DREDGING STUDY NAMED Charlottesville, VA (Friday, June 5, 2009) –The Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority (Authority) announced today the formation of a Selection Committee to review proposals from consultants interested in performing a Dredging Feasibility Study for the Authority. The Selection Committee will recommend the consulting firm they believe is most qualified to the Authority’s Board of Directors. The Board of Directors will make the final decision. The Selection Committee will consist of nine members as follows: Mr. Gary Fern, Executive Director of the Albemarle County Service Authority; Mr. Tom Frederick, Executive Director of the Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority; Mr. Mark Graham, Director of Community Development for Albemarle County; Ms. Lauren Hildebrand, Utilities Director for the City of Charlottesville; Mr. Chuck Kent, Capital Projects Engineer for the Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority; Ms. Judy Mueller, Public Works Director for the City of Charlottesville; Mr. Russ Perry, an architect with The Smith Group; Mr. Marty Quinn, Utilities Engineer for the City of Charlottesville; and Ms. Rebecca Quinn, a water resources engineer working in private practice. The Authority has set a deadline of June 17 for the receipt of proposals from interested engineering firms, and the work of the committee will begin shortly after that date. A schedule of meetings for the committee will be announced at a later time. “The selection of this committee continues to move a process forward that is of significant interest to the City and County boards,” stated Mr. Tom Frederick, the Authority’s Executive Director. “We are very grateful to all of the individuals selected for their willingness to serve.” PRESS RELEASE CONTACT: Mr. Thomas L.
