Welcome to the 34th annual Magical Merlin Parade. If you like the feel of Small town U.S.A., this is it. It is designed for the entire family. It is sponsored by the Merlin North Valley Business Association, The Merlin Park District, and the Redwood Lions Club. 1. CHECK IN BEGINS AT 8:00 A.M. AT THE RIVER GRILL 330 GALICE RD. NO ONE will be there for registration before 8A.M. 2. YOU WILL BE GIVEN YOUR NUMBER AND PLACE IN THE PARADE WHEN YOU CHECK IN. 3. Emergency Vehicles will be on the right side of the road, all others will be on the left hand side. We will have Firemen doing the staging, please pay attention to what they tell you. This is for the safety of everyone involved. We have the right to pull an entry for any infraction of the rules!!!!!!!!!! 4. YOU MUST BE IN LINE, NO LATER THAN 9:45. PARADE STARTS AT 10A.M. SHARP!!! *NO ALCOHOL, SMOKING OF ANY TYPE ON FLOATS. THIS IS A FAMILY PARADE. *IF YOUR CHILD IS ON A FLOAT OR TRAILER, PLEASE MAKE SURE THEIR FEET ARE NOT DANGLING NEAR ANY TIRES.

*YES!!! YOU MAY THROW CANDY!!!!!!!!!! *YES YOU MAY CHIRP TIRES, BUT ONLY IF YOU HAVE CONTROL OF YOUR CAR *NO TYPE OF HATE PROPAGANDA WILL BE TOLERATED! YOU WILL BE PULLED FROM THE PARADE!!!

'MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU" This year's Grand Marshall is KEN SELIG. Ken retired from the Sheriff's Department in 2012, and founded the North Valley Community Watch Program after all of the funding with the Sheriff's Office was cut back to bear minimums. He has taught many Neighborhood watch groups training on protecting their neighborhoods. He and his partner Pete have also been busy with COLD CASE Files. They helped the D.A.s office with identifying the remains of a missing young lady from Selma. Ken has a wonderful wife and 1 beautiful daughter. He has served our Community Well. THE ENTRIES ARE JUDGED ON APPEARANCE AND THEME. THIS YEAR IT IS

We will announce the trophy winners in the park after the parade is over, when we get the sheets tallied up. it will be announced in the Daily Courier the following week. If you cannot be at the park, you may pick up the trophy at the Merlin Park District Office. Next to the Sheriff's Substation between the hours of 10AM - 2:00PM. ANY APPLICATION TURNED IN AFTER APRIL 30 WILL BE $30.00 AND YOU WILL BE PLACED AT THE BACK OF THE LINE, THIS IS DUE TO STAGING. NO CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS. WE ACCEPT CASH OR
