1. (a) Draw and explain 2 input ECL NOR gate logic circuit and its functional tank. (b) Design a CMOS circuit that has the functional behavior shown (Use only 8 transistors).

2. (a) What are the differences between functions and procedures in VHDL and write a function to find the smallest integer among N integers. (b) Write a program for arithmetic and logic operations using procedures and functions. Consider the input sequences are A={2,4,5,6} and B={1,3,4,2}. 3. (a) What are the differences between libraries and packages in VHDL. (b) Write a 4 bit full adder program using generate statement. 4. (a) Write syntaxes for configuration specification and declaration. Explain. (b) Design a three input XOR gate with 2-to-1 multiplexers and write VHDL code for it. 5. (a) What are the advantages and disadvantages of test bench and waveform editor in VHDL? (b) Write a program for 8bit shift register with following modes. i. Shift left ii. Shift right in a sequential model using D-Flip-Flop. 6. (a) Explain different state machines. (b) Write a program for modulo-10 binary counter using D-Flip-Flops. 7. (a) Draw and explain static and dynamic RAM. (b) With the help of the timing diagrams explain the following operations of SDRAM. i. Real-cycle. ii. Brust Read-cycle. 8. Answer any two of the following: (a) Data types in VHDL. (b) Low voltage CMOS logic. (c) CPLD’s. ?????
