Day 1: Depart from Johannesburg International Airport bound for Zanzibar International Airport. Upon arrival at the airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to Royal Zanzibar on the East Coast of Zanzibar. Here you will spend 7 fun filled nights on an all-inclusive basis. The Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort is located on the North Shores of magical and the exotic island of Zanzibar, and enjoys a warm and sunny climate through out the year. A picturesque island hideaway combining modern comforts with unspoilt natural beauty. This environmentally friendly hotel is a perfect destination to “truly get away from it all” The resort is set in the midst of exotic and colorful tropical gardens inviting guests to enjoy the prestige and relaxing view of the Indian Ocean. This is truly a Royal Zanzibar experience. Modern and comfortable deluxe accommodation designed for the most discerning traveler. There are 100 rooms in total out of that 80 Superior Room, 16 Suites and 4 Villas. All rooms are with terraces and guaranteed sea view and sun set view.
Day 8: After breakfast you will be met by our representative and transferred back to Zanzibar International to catch your flight back home.

These rates are based on a package price per person sharing with a minimum of 2 persons. All quotes are subject to availability, change due to airfare increases, hotel rate increases, currency exchange fluctuations and any other unforeseen circumstances, without prior notice. Price includes: • Airfare Johannesburg - Zanzibar - Johannesburg. • Accommodation at Zanzibar Hotels on basis shown (BB=Bed and Breakfast, HB=Dinner, Bed and Breakfast, FB=All meals, FI=All meals and selected drinks.) • All domestic transfers • Free African Encounters travel bag • South Africa air departure tax and air passenger tax • Departure tax from Zanzibar. This is included in the 1Time airline ticket but you are advised to have USD$30 with you for unpredicted changes by the Tanzania Government. If charged on departure this will be refunded to you on presenting the proof of payment (Normally this is in the form of a receipt or stamp, so hold on to it!). Price excludes: • Visas ($50) • Inoculations (Yellow Fever is compulsory) Health requirements: • You have to have a Yellow Fever inoculation and a certificate to get into the country. These can be obtained from any travel clinic close to you (most Netcare hospitals have clinics, phone and enquire beforehand). Visas: All visitors to Zanzibar and Tanzania needs to have Visas. International clients outside of South Africa will need to contact the Tanzanian Consulate or ask one of our consultants for more information. Visas for South African passport holders can be obtained: Upon arrival in Tanzania: This will cost you $50 and you only need to present your passport. You will not need to complete any forms or take any photographs. From African Encounters: This will cost you $50 plus and additional R160 admin fee per application. We will require you to complete the visa application forms and supply us with two passport size photos per applicant. Direct: Directly from the Tanzanian embassy at 822 George Avenue, Arcadia, Pretoria, Tel: (012) 3424393. We recommend that you obtain them when arriving in Tanzania, as this will save you time and money. *Travel Insurance: It is compulsory for all African Encounters clients to have comprehensive travel insurance. Please speak to one of our travel consultants who will gladly assist you with all your travel insurance needs
