From Ron Lundbert’s lecture on Worldview. A Worldview is a commitment, a fundamental orientation of the heart that can be expressed in a story or set of presuppositions or assumptions which may be true, partially true, or entirely false which we hold either consciously or unconsciously, consistently or inconsistently, about the basic constitution of reality. And it provides a foundation on which we live and move and have our being. Every person has a worldview. Culture has been invaded by relativism, religious pluralism, and multiculturalism. Every worldview must answer four major questions. 1. The Question of Origin (meaning): Where do we come from? 2. Why are we here? 3. The Question of Morality; How can I change? 4. Where am I going? There are worldviews of Theism (one God or Monotheism) , Atheism (no God), Polytheism (many gods), Pantheism (all is god).
