Who Should Attend: Any concerned and/or interested parents/guardians and professionals.
What:
An opportunity to gain knowledge of the most recent facts and effects of alcohol and other drugs, and the latest trends facing our youth.
Some other topics that will be addressed include, but are not limited to what to look for, laws, technology, paraphernalia, and how to cope.

Sharon Lutz, Presenter Sharon is the Executive Director of the Somerset Council on Alcoholism & Drug Dependency, Inc (SCADD). She is a Master of Social Work (MSW), Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS). Sharon has facilitated countless trainings which focus on substance abuse prevention and life skills to many school and organizations throughout NJ. She is a 2001 graduate of the Leadership Somerset program and serves as the Chairperson of the Substance Abuse SubCommittee, which is coordinated through the Somerset County Youth Services Commission, and the Somerset County Providers Advisory Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (PACADA). Additionally, she has worked with the DEA and the NJ State Police to develop the interactive curriculum titled “Dancing with Darkness” to prevent the use of club drugs.
