1.1:

Predict and Classify for a Single Year for Three SEPA Sites

1.

Data to be Provided/Specified

a)

Environmental Variable Data The EV data is held in an XML file called SEPA_3_EV_2007.XML and is stored in a folder called RICT_Input_Files in the local c: drive – see end of example for actual content.

b)

Observed Index Data The Observed Index file is held in an XML file called SEPA_3_OEI_2007.XML and is stored in a folder called RICT_Input_Files in the local c: drive - see end of example for actual content.

c)

Settings for the Run The settings for the run match the settings in the Default Settings file (except for changing the Run Name if desired) – see end of example for actual content.

d)

Bias Data for the Run The Bias data for the run matches the bias data in the file SEPA_Bias.XML which is set up as the Default Bias file - see end of example for actual content.

e)

Limits for the Run The Limits for the run match the Limits data in the file New_Limits.XML which is set up as the Default Limits file - see end of example for actual content.

Start Run Click on Create a New Run in the Run Menu:

Specify Run Type Click on Predict and Classify

Upload EV File Click on Browse and then navigate to c:/RICT_Input_Files, if necessary:

Double click on file SEPA_3_EV_2007.XML (or select and click on Open).

Upload Observed Index File Click on Browse

Double click on file SEPA_3_OEI_2007.XML (or select and click on Open).

5.

Continue to Schedule Run All required files are uploaded so click on Continue

6.

Amend Run Name Click on Settings

Amend Run Name to ‘P&C – Example 1’ and click on Apply.

7.

Schedule Run As default Settings (apart from Run Name), Bias and Limits are being used there is no need to amend any other data. Therefore, simply click on Schedule Run:

Wait for Run to Finish Once the run is finished a green tick will be displayed at the end of the run entry:

View and Extract Prediction Data Clicking on the right arrow to the right of the green tick gives access to a number of shortcuts:

Click on the reports icon which will display the Reports Menu:

Click on Predictions to display the Predictions report:

Click on Output to Excel: The data will be exported and opened automatically in excel (although this may depend on the local PC settings).

View and Extract Classification Data Click on the Available Reports ‘breadcrumb’:

Click on Classifications to display the Classifications overview report:

Click on Report options icon and select Download:

Click on csv option:
