Residence Hall Association Minutes – April 7th, 2008 I. II.

Introduction i. Meeting call to order at 11:44 A.M. ii. Approved Minutes Reports i. President a. Adora’s Closet- Event on the 26th of April from noon until 4:00 P.M. located on the green that will collect and sell clothes. All funds will go to National Wildlife Organization and extra clothes will be donated to New Hope Baptist Church. Collection of all items will begin on the 16th of April. ii. Vice President a. Battle of the Bands – Event time unknown as of yet. The event will consist of teams of Rock Bands competing for gift cards for a total of $200. All attendees will have a chance to win a Rock Band. iii. Treasurer a. The budget has been updated for the Wii Tournament. iv. National Communication Coordinator a. RHA will not be attending NAACURH b. Has been working on web conference with other RHA groups nationally v. Public Relations Officer vi. Senate vii. Hall Council Representatives a. Redwood: Make a Program- Event for anyone to create and implement a program with $40. The prize is $75 and will be voted on by Hall Council on the 9th of April. b. Cypress: Hall Council Convention- Event for the 10th of April where various games are held. c. Laurel d. Oak viii. RA Representatives a. Redwood b. Cypress: 1. Game Night- Event held at 9:00 P.M. on the 2nd floor 2. Study Session will be held on Thursday and Friday at 9:00 P.M. 3. Ladies Night- Event for both females and males to be held on Friday c. Laurel d. Oak ix. Committees a. BGA- Mo stepped down

b. NRHH Old Business i. RHA Summer Bash- Event for the 11th of April at 7:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. where there will be a chance to win prizes. In addition snacks and drinks will be provided along with board games and poker tournaments. There will be free play video games provided by BGA. New Business i. National Communications Coordinator will be proposing New Amendments ii. Balance needs to be rechecked by the treasurer due to inconsistency Open Floor and Services Issues i. Cypress elevators: One of the elevators is down and the other might be misaligned because it needs to be pushed closed sometimes Kudos and Shout Outs Announcements i. RHA Summer Bash- Event for the 11th of April at 7:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. where there will be a chance to win prizes. In addition snacks and drinks will be provided along with board games and poker tournaments. There will be free play video games provided by BGA. Need to ask GDS for ice to cool the drinks. ii. Peter Fishbach, representing GDS will attend RHA on the 14th of April. Adjournment at 12:14 P.M.
