QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH (COMPARATIVE RESEARCH) Title: The Comparative Study of the Students Speaking Application Through and Without Daily Conversation at the first Class of the Students of SMP N 1 Talun Cirebon A. The Background of the Problem Learning is a process and fundamental element in realizing variety and level of education. The success or failure the achievement of the objective of education hardly depend on learning process that passed by students when are in school, home, or society. Learning related to the process of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor that aims to get a better change of attitude or behavior. In the background of the problem, the researcher shows about the weakness of the students English learning for example: The researcher has an experience when he teaches English, there are many problems in learning English. Especially on speaking. Most of students know the spelling of vocabulary, but they do not understand about pronunciation them. B. The identification of the Problem C. In the identification o the problem, he researcher shows problems in learning English generally. For example: the students don’t understand about structure, tenses, the students don’t understand in speaking application, the student are less in mastering vocabulary, and many other problems in leaning English. In this research only focus on the main problem about the weakness of the students in understanding vocabulary that has correlation with speaking conversation. Many students can memorize vocabulary but they don’t understand to speak in English.
