Executive Summary: Our research proposal includes the problem statement, research objectives, importance and benefits of the research, the research design used, and the data analysis, results and the budget of the whole research. How these processes are going to be conducted is given below.

1- Problem Statement: Telecommunication sector has been developed very much in the last decade. Mobiles have become very common now a day. So there are a number of companies in the mobile world now. We have LG, SAMSUNG, VODAFONE, SONY ERICSON etc. The common phenomenon that is observed is that people like Nokia very much also the different records show the very high demand and high market share of NOKIA. Now our topic of interest is:

"Why people prefer NOKIA?" Why NOKIA is a leading mobile company of all the times. Why it is preferred by people from different aspects of life whether they are businessmen, professors, doctors, engineers, students. The information required is that what in this mobile set attract people. What is there competitive advantage that they are using for their success?

2- Research Objectives: The purpose of this research is to determine that why there is such a good image of NOKIA in the minds of people. What make them feel to buy NOKIA only? Basically this research has following objectives a) Success factor of NOKIA b) What is different in NOKIA that is impressing people c) What makes the people think about NOKIA than any other mobiles These answers to the research objectives research objectives will help us very much to know "why people prefer NOKIA”.

3- Importance and Benefits: Conducting this research is very important to determine the difference between Nokia and other mobile companies. This research will also be important because it will tell us that what people think while purchasing a mobile. What they expect from their Mobile set. Behavior of the mobile users will become more open to the mobile phone companies. This research will be beneficial for the mobile companies to know the policies and strategies of their successful competitor. This research will help mobile phone companies to determine the important to consider while their different policies and planning.

4- Research Design: The research will be conducted through following methods.

a) Unstructured Interviews: We will conduct unstructured interviews with the people from different professions having NOKIA to know their responses towards our questions about the reasons to like NOKIA. Our unstructured interviews will be of just 2 to 3 questions comprising of the simple questions easy to find a good and quick response.

b) Questionnaire Design: A self made questionnaire is a very easy and cost effective method. Our Questionnaire will be consisted of simple questions. We shall ask open ended, straight forward and some of the investigative questions also. We will use category scale questions and constant sum scale questions for our questionnaire format. Our questionnaire will be of maximum 15 questions. These questionnaires will be given to the students and the professionals for filling. We will collect our questionnaire from the respondents within maximum 3 days.

c) Questionnaires via Internet: We will send our questionnaires to the persons having relations with us via internet. We shall send those Emails to collect the answers to our questions as it is an easy way to get a response due to the availability Internet facility at various educational institutions, offices and other organizations.

d) Evaluation of Non response Bias: We shall keep the record of the persons who return our questionnaire unfilled. We will conduct their unstructured interviews to get a response from their and to enhance the accuracy of our research.

5- Data Analysis: We will analyze the data carefully to evaluate that whether we have achieved our goals of conducting the research. We shall see whether we are succeeded in finding the answer to the question” why people like NOKIA”. We will analyze the data to find the success factor of NOKIA. Suggestions will be also prepared for the mobile phone companies to serve better their customers.

6- Results: Results will be in the form of a report provided after the research that is going to be conducted. Report will contain the results in the form of percentages that will help understanding the results compiled by the data collected. The histograms will be prepared for the reports also.

7- Budget: We shall print out almost 300 questionnaires for our research. And the others costs are explained here that we have to bear in our research.
